Mr Stuart Lokhee (Clinical Psychologist)

Stuart is an AHPRA registered Clinical Psychologist with experience supporting adults, young people, and first responders. His background spans policing, intelligence, investigations, occupational stress, trauma, and mental health across state, federal, and
international settings.
His qualifications include:

• Graduate Diploma of Psychology, Graduate Diploma of Education
• Bachelor of Policing (Investigations)
• Additional qualifications in occupational health and safety and government investigations
Stuart provides therapy for anxiety, trauma related concerns, ADHD, workplace injury, chronic pain, and men’s mental health. His work is guided by evidence based practice, clinical ethics, and a commitment to cultural safety.
Stuart’s earlier work as a Relationship Educator and High School Teacher further enhances his ability to connect across age groups, communicate clearly, and support young people and families in meaningful, developmentally informed ways.
As a psychologist, Stuart works in a practical, respectful, and person-centred way. He welcomes clients from all cultural backgrounds, communities, and family structures, and is committed to creating a safe, affirming therapeutic space where each person feels heard, valued, and supported.

Stuart works with adults experiencing a range of mental health concerns through comprehensive assessment, education, and practical therapeutic interventions. His approach is grounded in respect, clarity, and supporting clients as they progress through meaningful stages of change.
First Responders
With combined experience in psychology and operational policing, Stuart offers confidential, trauma-informed support for first responders. His work is grounded in an understanding of police culture, exposure to critical incidents, cumulative operational stress, and organisational pressures that can shape mental health and wellbeing.
Workplace Support
As a SIRA accredited practitioner, Stuart assists individuals navigating workplace conflict, role changes, internal investigations, and organisational transitions. He helps clients manage stress, maintain clarity, and move through challenging periods with stability and support. Chronic Pain Management Stuart provides evidence-based psychological treatment for chronic pain, focusing on improving function, mood, and quality of life. His approach supports clients to understand pain, develop coping strategies, and work towards meaningful recovery and improved daily living.

Dr Phil is an independent contractor, psychologist, and senior academic with a strong focus on disordered eating, body image concerns, and related mental health presentations. He holds a PhD in Psychology (University of Sydney), a Master of Criminology, and a Graduate Diploma in Psychology, alongside extensive training in evidence-based psychological therapies.
Phil has worked with both young people and adults across clinical, research, and academic environments, offering a well-rounded and informed perspective on complex presentations.

Background and Therapeutic Approach
Before becoming a psychologist, Phil worked as a relationship educator and case coordinator, supporting individuals and families from diverse cultural, social, and community backgrounds, including CALD and LGBTQIA+ communities. These experiences shaped his ability to engage sensitively with clients, adapt to different worldviews, and provide care that feels respectful and personalised.
Phil prioritises building a strong therapeutic relationship and creating a safe, non-judgmental environment where clients feel understood and supported. His work is guided by a commitment to thoughtful, evidence-informed practice and the belief that meaningful, lasting change is possible when therapy aligns with a person’s strengths, values, and readiness for growth.
Academic and Professional Contributions
Alongside his clinical practice, Phil is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Technology Sydney, where he supervises clinical research students and contributes to the development of emerging psychologists.
He has also served as Co-Chair of the Early Career Researchers Special Interest Group for the global Academy for Eating Disorders, supporting international collaboration and professional standards within the field.
